Niche Confectionery manufacturer for sale

Niche Confectionery started in August 2018 when it acquired Nelly’s Home Made Product and Chasers.

These two entities were merged into Niche.

Nelly’s has been in the market since 1999 and Chasers since 2005.

Nelly’s is the counter point sales items, fudge, peanut clusters, coconut ice, and peanut brittle. These items are sold around Gauteng with customers extending to the North West, Free State and Mpumalanga.

Peanuts are a large portion of the business and Nelly’s is renowned for having the best red skin peanuts.

Chasers is in the alcohol line also counter point items. We make chocolate shot glasses with different alcohol fills, flavored tequila, vodka and liquors.

The business had three partners initially but has since lost the other partners for various reasons.

The business is run on the old cash truck basis. We currently have one rep who calls on customers with stock and sell directly from the van. Surprisingly this is how the independent retailers prefer to work as well as most of the forecourts.

The sales are verified as we use carbon copy sales books which the rep uses and reconciles daily. The expenses reflected are also off the actual invoices.

The brands are well established, I’m sure you’ve seen them in the garages around the East.
